Wonky Horn
In 2015 Dan and Emma left the bright lights of the city for a completely different life in rural Somerset. As soon as they laid eyes on Westcott farm, their dream of running an organic farm with rare and native breeds was about to begin. It was not long after moving that the first longhorns arrived on the farm. Their firstborn heifer had the most perfect Wonky horns, so it seemed only appropriate to use nature’s inspiration and her wonderful looks to promote them and their products. So, the name Wonky Horn Organic Meat Co. was born.
They now boast a large herd of pedigree longhorn cattle alongside Exmoor Horn sheep, large black pigs, and organic pasture-raised chickens.
All their animals are organic and live a stress-free life grazing the pastures of the Brendon hills.
They farm in harmony with nature and the environment and practice regenerative farming. This creates bio diverse eco systems which allow the animals to live as nature intended. This produces the most succulent, highly acclaimed slow-grown organic meat.
The farm specialises in 100% grass-fed organic beef and lamb, free-range, organic poultry, and pork. Its master butcher, Sam, then skilfully butchers onsite in its organic butchery.
The Wonky Horn Organic Meat Co. is open to the public every Thursday between 4-7. You can buy meat directly from their onsite butchery at Westcott Farm in Brompton Ralph.
